Report of 1:n 100Mbps Indoor Infrared LAN System

1 system per 1 office : 10-time speed up, indeedI
It is effective and convenient in office
This is the report about 1:n 100Mbps Indoor Infrared LAN System developed by Victor Company of Japan, Limited.
High speed internet is connectable perfectly
Recently we hear the word "broadband" as the commercial message in TV. If large information can be transmitted at a time, our network environment will get more covenient.
If personal computer is connected with cable, it is inconvenient when it is connected to internet in office and home even if it is portable note type. Our life environment will get more convenient if cable connection is not needed.
The keyword is the wireless connection. We have Radio Wave Communication and Infrared Communication as the wireless connection. It is possible to transmit the signal as high speed data outdoors through optical fiber, ADSL or CATV, but the data is tied up indoors if Radio Wave Communication is used. It is impossible to transfer the high speed data to personal computer even if it is high speed outdoors.
And another anxious point is the security. In Infrared Communication the information leakage is not concerned because the near-infrared is adopted as wireless transmission.
Now 1:n 100Mbps Indoor High Speed Infrared LAN System is developed for the social needs caused by information environmental change. The system adopts the LED (Light Emitting Diode) equal to home-using remote controller and it is safe to human eyes and body.
from Radio Wave to Infrared
Infrared HUB is the eyes of dragonfly?
When Infrared Network is constructed between the ceiling mounted HUB and personal computer mounted node, one HUB is connectable to plural nodes within 5m.
That is, HUB is like the compound eyes of dragonfly and is able to see many directions at a time. Such a communication method to connect one point (HUB) to plural points (node) is the point to multi-point connection. Now reported point to multi-point connection of 100Mbps high speed is the first product in the world.
