Change in personnel will put in practice in office. Effective business is recently needed and the network is indispensable in business. The connection change each after the layout change is much ineffective and there are many cases that personal computer is carried from room to room.

The customer of this example accomplished the flexible and convenient office environment with the full application of Infrared Communication.

  • High security : The location is the center of the large city and no leakage of the signal to the neighboring building is desired.
  • High reliability : The location is surrounded by highway and the interference by the electric noise is anxious.
  • Convenient network environment : About 100 personal computers are set up in a floor and the band width is insufficient in the case of radio wave.
  • Reduction of the construction cost : The cost caused by layout change is desired to be reduced.

Infrared Communication LAN is the most suitable for the indoor access line in the large city where many personal computers work simultaneously in an office. The communication is performed between ceiling mounted HUB and personal computer mounted node. The slim office environment with a little cord can be constructed because the electric power of node is supplied by personal computer and the cord to outlet is not needed. And if it is note-type personal computer, it can be carried to the neighboring conference room or other section.

The customer accomplished the layout change without the wiring work soon after the introduction of this system and felt the convenience of Infrared Communication.
