Technical Report Communication Speed 1Gbps Infrared LAN System |

The news with the title of "Communication Speed 1Gbps Infrared LAN System" was published at the top page of Nikkei Business Daily in April 17, 2002. It was the report about Infrared LAN System jointly developed by Microsignal Co. and Nara Institute of Science and Technology. According to the report, Infrared LAN System is able to transmit the high-definition moving image at about 20-time speed compared to the former radio wave LAN and expected to be practical in this year. The practical radio wave LAN has the standard of 11Mbps and 54Mbps. Infrared LAN System has the speed of 1Gbps that is 20-time of 54Mbps. Communication distance is 20m and it is applicable to almost all offices. |
