Apr. 1995	Establishment of ICSC (Infrared Communication Systems Council)
Sep. 1995	Opening of '95 Infrared Communication Symposium
	Symposium was opened for the promotion of Infrared Communication System.  The theme was that Infrared Communication System develops the information society.  The amount of participant of exhibition was more than 500. Infrared application of the new business style "virtual office" using office network and mobile terminal was displayed and the newest information for the business and the life was introduced.
Oct. 1995	Display of 10Mbps Infrared LAN System in IrDA conference
	Activity of ICSC was introduced and 10Mbps Infrared LAN System was displayed for the promotion of Infrared Communication System in IrDA conference at San Jose, USA.  IrDA is the respectable organization for the standardization of Infrared Interface.
Apr. 1996	Joint-participation with IrDA in Communication Tokyo '96
	ICSC participated with 5 companies and the theme was that Infrared Communication System develops the future.  The amount of participant was about 7000. LAN access using mobile terminal, 10Mbps Infrared LAN and IrDA interface was displayed.  Effectiveness of Infrared System in mobile environment and inter-operability between 10Mbps Infrared LAN and IrDA products were appealed.
Jul. 1996	Establishment of ICSA (Infrared Communication Systems Association)
	ICSA was established for the purpose of standardization and promotion of Infrared Communication System.  Technology WG, Promotion WG and Safety WG were established and the practical action was started for the technical study and the promotion.
Feb. 1997	Registration of 10Mbps Infrared LAN System Standard
	10Mbps Infrared LAN System Standard was registered as ARIB standard (Association of Radio Industries and Businesses).
Apr. 1997	Participation in COMDEX / JAPAN '97
	Application and effectiveness of Infrared Communication System were introduced and the image of the future using the practical products was appealed with the demonstration by ICSA member companies.  The amount of participant was about 1300.
Oct. 1998	Memorial Exhibition of the 3rd anniversary of ICSA
	The theme was the harmonization with the nature for the 21st century.  The lecture meeting was held by the leading lecturers and Minister Noda of Posts and Telecommunications was invited for the speech.  The amount of participant was 581.  Infrared LAN System, long span new communication system and the integrated system with computer and PHS(Personal Handyphone System) private network were displayed and the wide probability of Infrared Communication System was introduced.
Jul. 1999	Decision of 3-year Expansion of Activity Period of ICSA
	3-year Expansion of Activity Period was decided at the members conference.  New WGs of Infrared LAN WG, Infrared-based CPE WG and Infrared Beam Communication WG were established, and the technical study and the standardization of Infrared Communication System were started.  The planning of the new Infrared Communication System and the transmission from Japan of the information for the global standard were decided.
Dec. 2000	Opening of Broadband Infrared Communication Symposium 2000
	Broadband Infrared Communication Symposium 2000 was held by the cooperation of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, Metropolitan Optical Beam Network Promotion Council and Infrared Communication Systems Association for the introduction of the merit and the technical trend of Infrared Communication.  The demonstration of communication and the exhibition of products were planned for the promotion of the understanding and the popularization.
Apr. 2001	Opening of Homepage
	ICSA Homepage was planned by Publicity WG and opened in April.  It is supplying the information about the events, the actions of WGs and the knowledge of Infrared Communication.
Nov. 2001	Broadband Infrared Communication Symposium 2001 was held in Osaka
	Symposium 2001 was held for the introduction of the merit of Inrfared Communication Systems by the lecture and the deployment examples at the hall near by Osaka castle with participation of self-government staffs, system users, operators, manufacturers and educational facility staffs.  They were especially interested with the exhibition of products.  Communication was demonstrated between the hall and the building about 1km apart.
